Description: On 25 November 2010, Professor Dr. George Borm officially began his appointment as chair of Biostatistics at Radboud University Nijmegen with an inaugural address entitled: Medical-ethical review criteria should change: smaller studies, more results (http://borm.mimumedia.nl). The symposium will further discuss the relationship between research methodology and ethics, and the question of what role medical-ethical committees should play. It is directed particularly at members of medical ethical committees, ethicists, representatives of funding agencies, epidemiologists, statisticians, researchers and experts in the area of health law.
